Not Feeling God?

There once was a family that went for a day trip to the beach. However, when they got there, they found that the sky was completely overcast. They could see no sun at all. But, they didn’t want to waste their trip. So, they got out and spent the whole day running around and playing on the beach.

And, what do you suppose happened the next day?

They were burnt red like lobsters!

Because, even though they couldn’t see the sun, and even though they couldn’t feel the sun, did not mean that the sun was not there. The sun as there — and it was working on them like never before!

Sometimes, God can be like the sun. You might not see Him, you might not feel Him — but He is still there.

So, in those times when it seems like you cannot feel God’s presence — don’t kid yourself! That is not the time to go to sleep on your spiritual walk. That is the time for watchfulness. Because, not only is God still there, but it just might be in those times when He is working on you like never before!
