Once upon a time, a father took his young son into the hospital for a blood test.

The nurse orderly prepared to take the blood draw out of the son’s arm.

“Do it in the hand,” the father said.

“We were trained to do it in the arm,” the orderly replied.

“No, do it in the hand!” The father exclaimed. “You do it in the arm, you’ll break the vein, and you won’t be able to get it!”

The orderly turned and said: “Could you please STOP IT! You’re making me very NERVOUS!”

“If you’re nervous, I don’t want you touching my son!” The father shot back. “I want somebody else!”

The father picked up a hospital phone and asked: “We want you to please send another orderly, but there’s no hurry to do so.”

And, the hospital kept them waiting for the next 8 hours!

So, the moral of this story is: if you work for a hospital, never tell them that you are nervous; if you are a patient at a hospital, never tell them that there is no hurry.
